Yeah, PD is April 2005 EB3ROW, and its just frustrationg when you see a lot getting their approvals with a much later PD's. He was scheduled for interview in Aug. she already recieved her packet 4 when Aug vb came out and reinstated July VB. I knew that it had something to do with July vb fiasco since he got his packet 4 after July 2. There were no visas left for that time, so AUg. vb doesn't really matter.

2. They have daily reducing calculation of interest which itself will save you 30/40K rupees over ICICi/HDFC etc.
3. they do not charge penalty for early repayment.

I have seen some really well written letters from CORE before. If core can help us - we will all put in our two cents and can come up with a really good letter rather than rush in one!

But does the core believe in this. They obviously know more about dealing with senate and house and other influential parties.
Core members: Do you think mass mailing will get any attention. And do you think mass mailing everymonth to a selected group of people will work at all.

You would think that USCIS is effecient and well managed, but the fact of the matter is that they are not.
If you think about what happened in last one month , it points out that things are in pretty bad shape untill take notice by affected people like us.
Well, if you do the direct calculations (eventhough it looks correct for most of us), it always results scary.
But that does not happen always. A Government Agency decided to accept that many applications in a month window, defintely it would not have been decided in a lunch or dinner meeting.
They should have known their limitations and how to handle the situation. If there are 20K 485 applications sitting at the storage, it would not create much problems. But it creates so much administration issues if the number is 600K applications.
One major issue is, every year they are going to receive 600K EAD renewals. They will never get time to work on 485, but life long working on renewing this EAD's and no more further GC processing.
So, its not going to be the case. Now they have money, even if it takes first year some more months, they may go for hiring more contracters OR spliting the applications across different centers processing them.
Its a big administration issue to the agency to keep all the applications pending than us.
So, no worries. There must be a solution ahead for us.

I guess we are here long on waiting for our green cards in the mean time I am suggesting we do a letter campaign to write in thousands to the USCIS director and lodge our protest about the problem the immigrant community is facing because of delays and irregularities in adjudication of EADs and APs. First and foremost things is a document which USCIS takes 6 months to Adjudicate is valid for 1 year which makes no sense.
Secondly USCIS should make efforts to make adjudicate it in not more than 2 months since we have to make travel plans etc. We should not be bounded by these documents. If for some reason it takes more than 2 months than 1 should able to get it via infopass, and a family member's death should not be the only reason to get the AP we are human beings and we have other social bondings too like marriages etc. I urge the core team to take steps to come forward a begin a campaign.... I guess this is the foremost need of the moment for 1000s of us..

EB2 dates moving back more than 5 years is really sickening. Lets just only hope that they've used and alloted visa numbers already to approvable cases and see approvals coming through...

Pushing too much requests into amendends means to get more risks to be removed /denied. Please satisfiy with 1/2 what you are dreaming of. Moreover, IV core group is too much busy with the existing goals (Existing goal = file 485 despite the "current date" , h4 wifes get EAD ...). IV core group need energy for the more realistic goal.

Important people (lawmakers and others who can make things happen) know there is a problem with GC. They don't know how big. We show up in small numbers; well, they are going to interpret it like that; a small problem; as simple as that. To solve small problems takes big (long) time.
The funny thing is, if this happens; people who knew that the size of the rally mattered, and who could have very easily showed up, but will not come, assured in their mind, other people will show up, also end up being losers.
You want to know who these people are; people who will go to the office that day, people who do not have a single (even unimportant meeting), people whose boss don�t care if they are in the office or not, those who have no deadlines, those who have plenty of PV days left, those within 100 miles of DC, those who can pick up the phone on 18th and tell their boss about taking a day off (and the boss replying �OK That�s fine�), the people who will waste their entire freaking day going to sites like CCN, ABC News, Samachar.com and god know what other sites, trying to find the latest news about the rally, and once in a while folding their tiny hands and looking up at the roof of their cubicle and murmuring �Please God, make this rally a grand success�.
No amount of coaxing, urging, reasoning, and other forms of persuasion will ever let us drag you out of your cubicle.
Confused if you belong to this group. Think hard for about 10 minutes before you start insulting me. Maybe one of the above points doesn�t apply to you. In my dictionary, not attending the rally, certainly doesn�t put you in this very special group of people. Common people. We desperately need atleast THIS campaign to be a success. I mean as a team the IV core CANNOT ask for an amount lesser than $5.00.
We are a member base of 30,000 members, cant we all contribute this once? It is exactly FIVE dollars that we ask of ALL members.
If we cannot get every single silent/dormant member to contribute atleast this once, then maybe we should just pack up our bags and fold, coz if we cant even contribute FIVE DOLLARS for our own betterment, we are in a very sorry state.

We should not let Cornyn down due to this bill's failure. We have to send email and thank him for bringing up this bill eventhough it failed. This will keep up his spirit and make him feel that there are people behind him even if this bill failed. This will make him to pursue other amendments in favor of legal immigrants if at all there is a slight chance before this NOV.

I am EB3-India with PD of August 2003. I am anticipating at least another 2 years. Any forward movement in any category is good news to me.
Yeah I am EB3 India June 2003 too. Not sure when our turn will come, IF at all the way things are crawling here. Sometimes I really feel there is no justice to some of the IV members on here. I wonder which is worse, the corruption in India or the bureaucracy in the USA. Atleast in India, if I would have bribed the official, I would have had the documents by now.

I think IV has done a lot in just 19 months and with the core team, who understands every issue (BEC, retrogression, namecheck, etc) and working diligently to bring a practical solution, should bring a sense of comfort to all of us that our prayers are answered in the form of IV.

Receipting people are not the ones adjudicating the cases. They are different people. So there is no used stopping the receipting.
If this news is true, then we can see "wild" approvals before the end of September. Some people with complete cases may overtake others.
