Not Volunteer but Leaders...
Volunteer is a person who takes responsibility and does a task. Here the question was raised to have new leaders who can take a flight to Washington DC on Monday morning, change the law by noon to issue GC to every EB category, have a lunch at Olive Garden, come back monday evening.
oh that's easy stuff - I can do that :p sign me up. I love chicken parmesan at olive garden. There is just one problem. What do you want me to do after my lunch and before my evening flight. That's just waste of too much of my time. :rolleyes:

I drove back from canada today. and I though I should post my experiance at the buffalo border crossing.
Drove up to the IO gave him my AP and passport. he gave me a token number and asked me to go into the office. Very polite. parked my car went into the office.
waited for about 40 minutes then they finally called me. the lady was very polite soft spoken she had already gotten all my papers ready like new I-94 card. stamp on AP and passport. She asked for my old I-94 cards I handed here all my old ones (i had about 6, since i first came on student visa then switched employers) i mentioned to her that I lost one of my I-94 would a photo copy work and she said yes thats not a problem. after she took all my I-94 cards stamped my passport with ap exiration date same on i-94. I mentioned to her that I will going back and forth to canada very frequently and she jokingly said then I will be seeing you alot.
No other questions were asked. the whole process went very smoothly.
O a friend of mine told me if asked purpose of visit outside US don't say vacation on AP that pisses the IO's because AP is only for emergencies originally.

One of a consulting company has received labour approvals from Philli for Feb 2003. I dont have the details now I will post the details on monday its in my office computer. I saw the approval notices 30 days back.

What is the difference between LLC and C Corp.

S-corp has huge tax advantage in the sense that you can take a small W-2 salary from the firm (to minimize your payroll witholding taxes for social security and medicare) and take a large "partnership income" reported on a K-1, which is taxed at ordinary income tax rate, and is not subject to payroll withholding taxes for social security and medicare. If you think about it, by not taking the income fully on W-2, you will be saving around 15% in withholding taxes.

Just to let u know, during my H1 processing, my H1 was thrown back to my lawyer asking them to send photographs of my workplace and co-workers, server room, my desk. I had to use an entire disposable camera for the same. To make things even funnier, i was not even the First one to be on H1 in my company. We had atleast 7-8 H1's at one point in time. The reason given for a throw back was, that this company seems quite new and small.
I know this is off topic, but since someone has raised this point albeit in jest, i thought i should let people on here know that UCSIS has it's own whims and fancies at times. So if something similar has happened to you in the past know that you may not be alone. :)

Even large companies start as small and such small companies need high skilled US educated immigrants to innovate and grow the business. This is a problem not just with H1B applications but with green card applications. I am sure other people would have faced this situation when they filed their GC application through a small company with low annual income.

Started working for my 3rd US employer in 2001, started GC process in Mar 2003 thru RIR process.
Every year a new hope, but IV is like a street light , i can look around whats happening.

For FY2006 (Oct 1st, 2005 - Sep 30, 2006) a total of 30,512 Schedule "A" visas were used.

According to DHS statistics 5,125 schedule "A" visas were used in FY2005 (June 1st, 2005 - Sep 30, 2006).

So, from June 1, 2005 till September 30, 2006 only 36,367 Schedule "A" visas were used.
Now if 50,000 were available under schedule "A" what happen to 50,000-36,367=14,363 visas? I doubt very much that so many petitions were filed in October 2006 - the last month when this category was current and for new applicants the only option was AOS, even considering the fact that consulates conducted interviews in October, 2006 and November, 2006 they could not use 14,363 visas! Especially considering the fact that not all applications got approved (because of the Visacreen, etc).
