Hi,
My H-1 was approved in 2004 by the Texas Service Center. According to the instructions for I-539, for change of status to H4, it says:
"If The principal’s petition and change of status request are approved, mail form I-539 to the same Service Center that approved the principal’s I-129 and change of status or extension application. Include a copy of the principal’s approval notice."

I want to change my employer from A to B. B has filled for h1b transfer on 26-sept-2007 (I have fedex tracking number). Till today (9-oct-2007) we hv not received the receipt notice.
My expected start date was 1-oct which has been extended twice, i.e 8th & then 15th. If receipt does not come will 15th, then can I join the new employer?
Is there any way I can find out the file position/status using fedex tracking number?
Can new employer file one more application for h1 transfer under premium process?

Hi,
My wife came to US on a L2 dependant visa in June 2007. She applied for EAD and got the same in Oct 2007. She was applying for jobs and both of us had to travel to India for couple of weeks in Dec 2007 due to personal reasons. After coming back, she got a job and is working now using the EAD that she got before the travel to India. Is it legal to work with the EAD she got earlier? I have this doubt because the I-94 with which she got her EAD is not the same as what she/I currently hold.

Please report your employer to DOL for discriminatory pay practice, if you think the pay difference is solely 'cause of your immigration status.
And yes, you can change your job when you want through AC 21.. please browse the forum for AC21 process...good luck!

My LC & 140 are approved under EB2 category. PD is Oct 2004. The same employer wants to promote and move me from New York to California.
The question is:
Can i file GC under PERM for the new role ( same company) in California. Assuming the PERM LC gets approved, can i port the PD of Oct 2004?
Any insights appreciated

Hi,
I'm trying to bend text into a circle. I want the text to be standing up and then to spin the camera around the outside of the text.
Is there anyway I can bend the text in swift 3d into a circle or do I need to produce each letter seperately and then rotate and position?
Or, can I import the bent (circular) text from another application then 3d ify it in swift 2.0 ?

I recently got my EAD card. I intent to continue to work full time with my current employer. I want to work part time with another employer. My H1 is stamped and valid untill end of 2008.
If I use my EAD card for part-time job, does my H1 get invalid?
If yes, do I need to inform my fulltime employer about change in status?
If no, can I travel outside USA with the H1 visa for reentry?
Please help.

I had a really good experience in Nogales last week, I got my visa stamping on the same day of my appointment and the NVS International team was great. Important, remember to take your client letters if you are doing any consulting for a particular client and take all your tax return information. Take every piece of information that specifies where you work and what your job duties are.

I know this issue is still a grey area and certainly no one seems to know a concrete answer to this.
If i have my H-1 Visa and EAD as well. Can i continue to Work on my H1-visa for the primary employer and take up a part-time job with the EAD.
I have hear ppl say that H1 becomes void once EAD is used. Is there any kind of document advocating this? I have not seen any. Lawyers have conflicting opinoin. Has anyone thought about this. I have decided to take an infopass appointment and ask the IO to show me a document that states that H1-becomes void or The other way around.
Can anyone shed more light in to this. Thanks

People, I see my RD, ND , A#, name on my I485 receipt. But I don't see my priority date PD mentioned on it. I am worried that this might delay my case processing. Anyone in the same boat as me

One can contiue to stay using I-485 receipt without valid I-94. afasik I-797 can be used only if you filed H1 extention after you came back on parolee.
If a person travels on AP, he will get a new PAROLE I-94 which shows expiry date of 1 year from the day he entered on AP. Can the person stay in US AFTER that expiry date and continue working using a valid I-797?
