I don't think my case has been picked up for audit, at least not so far. I don't know the criteria for audit. Just hoping the next application they pull from the pile is mine.

It is April new numbers for the quarter will be available.My guess is EB2 I will move beyond April 1 2004.Once it crossess 2004 then it will be almost in 2006 not many cases in 2005.

Why do you think there are not many cases in 2005?

we are not talking anything new nixstor, there are people already waiting for years to get name check done......dont think if you pretend like nothing is happened will get a GC within a year....even though we might still stuck for years in the name of name check


May be you are right. I am pretending like nothing has happened. But Those folks who are adding spin to the issue on security checks, are you focusing in any way on the root cause of the problem. My point is, If you bring security on, every thing else is shelved until security is fixed. If its already there, let it be there. Let AILA figure out in the law suit how they approved. Let Rep Lofgren do it. Why should we stir up the hornet's nest on digg and open doors to anti guys to tighten security checks on us. Its like we are going out there and saying that "yes, My buddy got GC in 6 months. The security system is not working. Please fix it " What will be the result?

I am an H1B holder in Indianapolis, IN processing GC on EB3 -actually my EAD (PERM) is 'In Process'; my wife and 3 under age kids are H4s... a couple of months ago we had to update our address in our 2 DL & 5 IDs... of course I am the only holder of a SSN so no problems getting the renewal of my DL & ID. After getting a numident report from the SSA for my daughters and wife... there were no issues generating IDs for the kids... but according to BMV withouth a SSN my wife's DL won't be updated and it will be suspended in 30 days. How she got a license before (for 3 years) and now she can't...? Is there anyway to obtain a DL in Indiana being a legal H4? I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!

I noticed soft LUD on 485s last week for me and my wife...not sure what that means..

A soft LUD today 03/04 on my/wife's I-485 application.

I see lot of cases of EB2-I with PDs of 2005/06 and EB3- I with PDs 2003/04 have recentely received LUDs/RFEs.

Let's wait what next visa bulletin says !

Any one else with recent LUDs on their I-485s ?

No need for you to trash another country to make your point... We are all foreigners here and know what happens in rest of the world...

If you are determined to make sensational calculations and postings then who can stop you, but seriously stop assuming things.

1st assumption: 750000 applicants (realistic figure near 500,000)
2nd assumption: all are adults (why would kids need EAD, and there would be several in that category)
3. it takes only 5 mts could take more or less who knows,
4. work hrs
5. number of people.

Stop being so negative and sensationalizing everything. There are more genuine problems to talk about.

I read this in another thread... May be USCIS wants to collect more money for EAD renewals by moving eb2 date and issuing 1yr approval.

For all those who are upset with the House hearing, please take it easy. Please do not expect the hearing to discuss the details of each and every GC applicant's case. The objective of the hearing was to bring the folks involved in visa bulletins and GC processing, and make them all publically say and agree that Lofgren-Sensenbrenner bill will not flood the country with new people on the borders but at the same time since the federal agencies did not do their job properly, so it would make sense to recapture the visa numbers, and that's it.

I think that this objective was achieved pretty handsomely without much opposition. So everybody was on the same page, other than Ranking member King, whose job in such meetings is to oppose whatever the committee chair is proposing. Rep. King did not have much to say as Rep. Sensenbrenner has co-sponsored the bill. Noticeably, Rep. Gutierrez supported the bill, which means Hispanic Caucus may not oppose it either, hopefully. So it was all good.

The meeting really saddens me though. That is the extent of anyone's power to get USCIS moving? Just hinting to King that the congress is displeased?

I mean I'm pretty sure King is gonna just shrug it off. Listen to how deluded the man sounds. He thinks USCIS is doing a great job, what with all that bragging about efficiency. Obviously he doesn't realize he's standing there, in that meeting. because the efficiency he's bragging about is clearly NOT ENOUGH. In fact, it's pretty much shitty.

To make things worse, those people in there are controlling the fates of thousands of waiting applicants. And they don't even seem to know the difference btw H1 and 485.

I don't want to just go on feeding this negative train of thought. I just wish something more effective can be done. Isn't there a better solution?

whats wrong with you guys...you guys are filed in EB3 category...does not mean that you are less then any EB2 person.

cant you understand one simple logic? EB2 category(not an individual) will get cards sooner then EB3 category.

So if you were eligibile or had a choice, why you chose EB3????
now since you did choose, you are supporting this backgate system of porting to EB2? how do you justify that?????

you or your employer told USCIS to get a card for you in EB3 category, if you do not want that, file NEW !!!

In the eyes of americans we are skilled workers, but we all are selfish and vulnerable to white man politics!!!!

DAMN this card and I wish to see when we all cherish our self respect and does not get treated like beggars by USCIS.

If we all have balls then lets do some kind of bycott ...else keep watching your brother in this stupid ration line and you enjoy your food (if you get lucky by USCIS)
