I am done calling all listed republicans :) I thought they are the ones who mattered most as Dems are/will jump into the bandwagon sooner or later.
I am not sure if the senators will ever receive our heartfelt pleas and messages.I pray they do...
I felt like a lobbyist while calling their offices...only that I was lobbying with their staff to pass on the message.. :D
Gist: Some of the staff members (I hope not Senators) THOUGHT CIR==AMNESTY for illegals and told me point blank Senator doesnt support CIR for the same reason. I explained to them CIR is not only about illegals and amnesty and that legal immigrants will be helped a lot. These GC applicants would become their voters in near future.
Here's the status for today

Gregg- spoke to staff member no position sounded like she is faking noting down details
Lugar - spoke to staff promised that Senator is very supportive of CIR left my details

Hello, I have been through the same situation for past 2 years. Just carry your receipt for extension to the local MVC and they will give you 3-month extension on your licence. During that course, your actual extension should arrive upon which you will have to renew your licence. It's better to spend $24 for licence renewal that spending $1000 for premium processing.
My H1 extension is under process. I had applied in Dec 2006. My DL expires on May 6. Is it possible to renew my license with the H1 extension receipt?. Is it possible to do Premium Processing now?

Hey make sure that I am right by talking to an attorney. They usually charge $150 for for this suggestion. Please spend that money. If you do not have that money, I will give you a loan. Pay me back once you start working.

It is easy and potentially justifiable to feel some frustration. As it relates to the green card, I am in a similar situation to most who visit and share their views on this board.
I view the Universe and everything that is contained therein to be perfect - there can be no imperfections. I find comfort in that thought and focus my attention on the following:

am waiting for a GC here in America, I always think India is a fabulous
country. There are merits, de merits in every country. But it is people like you who always look at the negative side (according to you that is ) of India and think US has absolutely no negatives that create the wrong perception about India in peoples minds.
Your negativity stems from your low self esteem and lack of self confidence.
Blame your country/system for everything and try to find an escape elsewhere. If you are capable chances are you will succeed any where (Including in India) like many people have.....

Every time we work on a bill we move a step forward. We have come a long way in the past 2 years. Some bills came and went and did not bring us any relief but that should not stop us from working hard when we see the next window of opportunity.

Should my spouse, going to live in CA in H4 status, get US driving licence, or DL issued abroad of US will be enough?
One more question. In how many days after entering US (California) in H1B status, should I apply for US DL? The only defined preiod I found on DMV site, is 10 days. But how can I proof my address of residence in US after only 10 days?

Can you confirm if your Priority date was earlier than Aug 2004? PD is the date you applied for your Labor Cert., not the date you got approved for your Labor Certification.
From the above you are saying that you applied for LC in Aug 2004 and it was approved by or little before Feb 2005. In Feb 2005 or say Jan 2005 you may have concurrently applied for I-140 and I-485, and hence you were already in the I-485 stage.
If this is the case, then you were pretty fortunate in getting your LC approved in only 6 months, and that too before PERM was introduced. (PERM was introduced on March 28 2005)

But when they revised it on July 2nd they took the original VB offline. Now they bring the original VB back online and they are asking folks look at both of them together.
