In suport of the view they are totally chaotic: RIR here, priority date is in April 2002, 45-day letter was received & replied to in February 2005 (15+ months ago), heard nothing from them since then. Lawyer started process for 7th year extension.

guys, USCIS agreed to accept all the application but they do not have any visas to adjudicate the application... so they'll only enter the information in their database based on PD and when the date becomes current for the PD thats when they start processing the application... so nothing will be changed in terms of order of processing.. this change will only help us getting EAD/AP...

I got my GC couple of weeks ago and IV has been like a true supportive friend throughout my long wait for this day.

I am not sure if the guy with PD 2001 will get the number first as against one with PD 2006 when everything is "C" in the example you presented.
Past data, experience from my acquaintances, official NSC statements as well the SOP clearly indicates the contrary.

Can somebody explain me why this disco guy and this Villamonte guy are even on this forum ??? We are sitting here for 9-10 years telling our folks in our home countries, I'll come in may, no probably july, no in july my papers goes for renewals,, may be Dec. no in Dec. tickets are too expensive and in March I have my project live date, may be next may oh no by then I'll have to send my papers for renewal.... well you know what, forget about me, you stay happy where you are and I live happily here....
And these people are telling us USCIS is doing what they should be doing...

Beppen, I joined the conference a little late and heard of Sen. Brownback's amendments for extension of J1 visa rule and no cap for nurses/physical therapists in H1. They will reconvene at 2.00 again and present more amendments if there are any

I understand from your signature that you Receipt date is 7/2/07. was your case transferred to Vermont or something and transferred back to TSC. Do you know what was the Receipt date mentioned in the Transfer Notice. I am just trying to guess when they may come to my case. My receipt date for 485 was from Vermont and is 7/31/07. But then it was transferred back to Texas and this has a Receipt date of 10/1/07. I am just trying to find out which Receipt date will be considered to pre-adjudicate my application. Thanks.

I talked to my lawyer and she says I can travel without AP as long as H visa is stamped. I just found Press Release on same topic from USCIS. Here is the link

My wife is already in India; and I am going to follow her soon and we will be going to get our visa stamped.

One of my friends received labor approval from Philly. His priority is October 2003, EB3, Non-RIR. Of course, my PD is from November 2001 and one other guy's is from August 2002. They were not processed, but my friend got a break from the drab BEC. Strange things happen in life. :)

Maybe it would be eating and sleeping... if they get bored with that they might approve 1 or 2 cases.
I keep hearing that DOL has allocated more resources to entering data. Does it really take so much effort to perform data entry. One of our customer is a large multinational company that has hired a few interns to convert huge stacks of paper files into electronic format by manually entering data into the system. These paper files go back decades, and these 5-6 interns have been making great progress.
In contrast, how long does it take to enter 300K cases into the system? Besides, if they have hired about 100 additional people or so, why are they using case reviewers to enter data? Can't they use interns to perform such low-skill job while continuing to use reviewers to perform their primary task?
My company recently interviewed a fresh computer science college graduate who is working with DOL in entering data. I wish we had hired him so that I could talk to him more about his job duties there.
